Never judge a book by it's cover.....Nessun Dorma performed by a mobile phone salesman from Wales.
This brought me to tears almost immediately, it moved me beyond words. A complete unexpected...not only because of the genuinely humble nature of the man singing...but certainly not something I expected to see on one of these "Simon" shows. The video is not long, yet long enough to tell the story of this man and his dream beyond selling mobile phones...and one of the greatest songs I love performed in such a powerful way.
Ah, enough words. I do hope you listen to this. There is beauty unexpected all over the earth just waiting to be recognized. Sometimes that beauty is hidden right before your eyes. Perhaps in the mirror. Have I told you lately you are beautiful?
P.S. Thank you Serena Joy for showing me how to post a video.

He went on to win the competition at the weekend. :-) Was wonderful to see him perform once again, gives me goosepimples each and every time. An amazing talent, I hope his future allows him to follow all his dreams.
It's a beautiful performance, Oliviah. And you're very welcome for the help.:)
Tears, yes. I had not seen this. Thank you my dear Beautiful Soul. One day, we will cry together and then laugh together.
"Joy may be expressed by a smile, it may even be expressed in tears, but in all it is the dance of the soul."
Hazrat Inayat Khan
And so, we dance.
Wonderful, wonderful quote!!
The dance of the soul. What a wonderful image that is. And so, we dance. And that makes me smile. :-)
I posted a link to Israel's beautiful singing once on my blog... I love it on yours. Now you must show me how to post a video, since I don't know how :-D
Terry, the first time I ever saw that video was from your blog. :-D Cried my eyes out and smiled at the same time.
I had seen this, but watch it every time it comes my way. This man's voice has an ineffable quality. Simply beautiful! Thank you for posting the video.
I wonder what became of him after this. I like to think that he is now living that dream.
