Clouds of billowey colors - like pretty, frothy layers of tissue paper, escaping from their box...

I have no idea how you create such lovely pictures Oliviah, but I love the end result. I don't play around with computer programs or anything like that... LOL I get so frustrated waiting for my scanner to work, or going crazy as my computer grinds and smokes as I try to post pictures on the blog... I'll just sit back and enjoy yours :-D

Just out of curiosity...is there a rough average length of time that you spend creating one of these gems?

How odd! I actually had the very same questions in my mind as my predessessors here today. I honestly have no idea either. I only know the effects are tremendous, from your gift to create this seemingly infinite world of forms, colours, moods, evocations and messages. Another masterpiece, this one. We go outside to get inside and on to another and another...Hope you're feeling UP still!

Terry, I make these with Apophysis and oh my, do I get frustrated waiting for them to render because I haven't (in all this time) been able to figure out how to render a whole batch of them at one time (like, when I am sleeping!! that would be nice, lol!) But I am glad you enjoy them, it makes it worth the aggravation. ;)

evydense, It depends. Sometimes they just seem to work out spendidly in just a short time. Other times, they show promise and I might work on ONE all day long--and it if still doesn't say what I want it to, I render it and leave it to tweak again another day. Sometimes there have been times that I have gone back to one that I made last year when I felt like it said what I needed. (With a few tweaks and maybe gradient change.) As for how much time in a day I make fractals in general...as long as my neck and head aren't hurting, that's pretty much what I am doing all day and doing web searches or studies while I sit and wait for one to render.

mile stones, there are a lot of people on my list of links who make these in amazing ways and everyone seems to have their own unique way of presenting them. Apophysis (and all the other fractal programs) have been a really good thing. I think making fractals has been the most theraputic thing I have done for myself...and it gave me the gift of all of you precious people.

mackeydoodle, that sounds like the way I get up in the morning! I wish sometimes I had a nurse to help me get out of the bed and have physical therapy for a little while (and a hot cappacino!) to get me moving for the day. I do hope you don't wake with pain. But morning sluggishness alone is a beast in itself.

I didn't sleep last night (migraine) so if I say anything more illogical than usual, please excuse me.

~hugs and smooches everyone that will tolerate it~

Pixie Dust, full of color and magic!!

Know what you mean about the rendering. When you zoom in, or want a larger render, it takes sooooo long. Some are definitely overnighters.

This one is really cool. Reminds me of flourescent ice cubes.
