Oh I feel it coming back again--like a rolling thunder chasing the wind. Forces pulling from the center of the earth again--I can feel it...
Live, Lightning Crashes

Oliviah, I can see the lightning and feel the rolling thunder, vibrating my body as I look at this. Highly charged.
REALLY cool, Oliviah! I love this one.
Funny... I saw neural activity (synapses and axons and stuff) before I saw lightning. I'm weird like that, though. Very cool!
My feelings were so intense, I spent hours working to this trying to somehow portray the depths of what it feels like to be utterly lost.
Lost in a reality slowly becoming marred beyond recognition, beyond comprehension. The image depicts a *place* or a *state* that is extremely vulnerable, with nothing whatsoever to hang onto; a place where even the false comfort of the *familiar* cannot lull any longer. That state is known as "Lost".
And in THAT state of vulnerability, when lightning slashes relentlessly, mercilessly & randomly; & forces pull at you from the inside & out--there is nowhere to hide.
I can feel it...
I think everyone experiences this at some point in their lives, maybe several times in one degree or another.
Maybe someone can relate and find a bit of solace in that.
This one is very good. I knew exactly what you were describing and it goes along with the artwork. Yes, I believe everyone of us have experienced some sort of vulnerablity in our lives and felt lost. Lost in a sea of nothingness frightened and not knowing which way to go.
Oliviah, this image leaves me speechless. Stunning work and I love the black and white.
"Lighning crashes, an old mother dies.
Her intentions fall to the floor. "
Beautiful. And again, awesome choice of music (are you peeking at my CD library or something?)
I see ice. I have ice on the brain right now... :)
