another night wistfully longing for sleep

Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For the break that will make it okay
There's always some reason to not feel good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
Or a beautiful release
Memories seep through my veins
Let me be empty
And weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

The samples of my new medication ran out today. So my old buddy Insomnia squealed with delight, did a few cartwheels & the happy dance. Sigh. Guess I'm up for the night.

I am so...um...thrilled. :/

Hot cocoa, anyone? It's gonna be a lonnnnng night.

Oliviah-o that is just lovely. I am always inspired by what you create, and how you allow others to know your thoughts and feelings...Stormy.

It's so nice to see you 'back' online. I was worried for you. Bummer about the insomnia...it always seems, if it's not one thing it's another.

It's times like that when I convince myself I can just handle it for now, and I'll see what happens tomorrow.

I'm still having trouble with the sleep thing, with no meds. Finally get exhausted enough to crash, some nights. Absolutely beautiful fractal. I'll get with them, when I get back.

Lovely folded feeling in this fractal. Sorry you can't sleep though!

I am sorry you cannot sleep. Have you had the problem long? I have that every once in awhile and use a homopathic remedy ever thought of using one of them? Love the fractal its interesting. Take care

Ugh. Insomnia. An old friend and enemy of mine as well.

Can't tell you how many times I've come back to this song in this life...and more than that...THIS PART of this song.

Hope you're sleeping better now.

Evydense, it is sweet of you to care. I'm gonna pop over to your blog in a minute in case you don't see this.

Daddy, such a long time for you with the sleep trouble, I really hope this passes for you soon. It is almost time for your vacation I think! That ought to really help you relax and refresh.

Dzeni, the insomnia is a real problem but sometimes I enjoy the aloneness of the night. Sometimes. LOL!

Sherri, I have had insomnia since I was in the 3rd grade. You'd think I'd be used to it by now!

Agnes, you noticed the song! :) I realized when I posted the title for the image that it totally distracted from the lyrics of the song and that really was what the image was about. I almost reposted the image (without the title) but I realized it would delete the comments that were made if I did that so I just left it as is. And I can relate to what you said. That part of the song really expresses a lot of things for me. I can't (I won't) post lyrics if they don't. They actually express a lot more of what I am feeling on a deep core level than I think could imagine. I don't know. Sometimes they are a quiet scream.
