Hi Olivah,
This reminds me of some detective scene. Its scary yet comforting. I like it.

Yeah, I don't know what exactly it reminds me of, all that mist in a dark place with sticks of some kind all in it. I think it is the mist that looks soothing, though mists in detective scenes or horror movies usually mean something scary is going to happen.

hugs!

A lampshade in my grandfather's house out in the country. I swear that's what it is. :-D

I love it dear Beautiful Soul. Because of the memories it invokes for me, this moves to the top of my favorites lists. :-)

Well how neat that is, Trée! I wish I could picture what that lampshade would be made out of. I am glad it evoked pleasant thoughts for you. Hugs and smoochies! :)

Reminds me of a forest at night, branches hanging overhead casting shadows.
Hugs to you, Oliviah, hope you have a week full of fun, x

Shelly, thanks for the visit! I'd love to add it (if I can figure out how to, lol!)

Hello Autumn! Now that I read what it looks like to you, that is what it looks like to me. I love reading what these images look like to other people besides myself and the feelings they evoke. Hugs to you!

SD!! SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!!! And you are right, this one I almost didn't post because it has such a "dark" sort of mood to it, but I just loved it anyway. I can't pinpoint exactly why, but it feels like hope is pushing it's way forth out of the darkness. Hugggggggs!

Hey Oliviah! I'm here to give my first, then developed impression of wqhat I can see here. Most visitors have commented on dark, eery, forests at night.
I am seeing alongside art depicting scenes of the Western Front in World War 1. In many places, 4 years of constant trench warfare, huge artillery shelling & terrible winters transformed landscapes of Flanders that had been peaceful, normal - fields on plains, with clumps of trees, or small woods - into scenes like this one. Mud, dirt, and trees stripped down to bare stumps, with rolls of barbed wire everywhere. Funny what the mind's eye can do, eh?
On a warmer, brighter note: let's have lots of kisses & hugs, with all the flowers of spring, hm?

My Dear Sweet Belle of the South! I'm amazed by your question, because I don't know when you asked it. There is a great, sychronistic coincidence in it, because at the beginnning of this week, I started a new blog. Or has that inspired your question, I wonder...The short (cryptic?) answer is that I write in the same way as I shoot pix. It's a fundamental part of me, but in terms of profession, it isn't how I would describe myself. On the other hand, no words, no work! I will explain elesewhere, don't worry! SXXXXXXXXXXXX

Stewart, I look forward to seeing your writing, more than you can imagine!
