happy winter to whoever it is that is enjoying (or enduring one)

Well, this certainly is an old fractal. A good old fashioned Mandelbrot looking like winter to me.

Has been mild here the last couple of days, Spring already seems just around the corner. Gorgeous contrast with the cobalt background. Nice work, Oliviah. :-) Hope you're having a great week, xo

Autumn, I remember when I lived where we got the changes of seasons. Something about that just felt so right. I'd hate to live in Alaska or somewhere where it's dark for so long out of the year, I know that would surely affect my mood because I've noticed as long as I've lived here that just the lack of distinct season changes affects my mood. I find myself wanting to turn the air conditioner on very cold in the winter time to give myself the sense of winter. I seem to need it. I'm not sure why at all. But I do not find myself wanting to turn the heat on to simulate summer--no way. Bleh--I get nauseated if I get too hot.

Lovely image. Looks like ice :) Its late summer here. That means generally gorgeous *long* days but it can be humid at times.

Ah, I know what you're talking about Oliviah. Living here in sunny AZ is way different than NY weather. Even though I don't miss shoveling snow, I do miss the real winter. On the upside though, I can easily drive up one of the mountains where there'd be snow!

And yes, the summer heat is nauseating !

Jenni, that sounds dreamy. :-)

Deb, sounds like you wound up in the perfect place then, right where you are. :-) I bet those mountains look beautiful.

I thought it was some over-head picture... taken from space or something. You have an eye for beauty - whether simple or ornate. xo

Terry, it does kind of look like looking up through a snow or frost covered tree to a blue, blue sky. Not sure what the blue balls are dropping off of it. But I do know that sentence just gave me the giggles. ;-)

I guess that you know that snowflakes, treebranches, shorelines, nerve growth etc are thought to develop through a fractal progression. Before Benoit (what a neat name) developed the math for fractals and later computer progress allowed actual calculation, who knew?

This one is pretty cold looking; I seek warmth.
